THE BERRIES

The Blueberry Basket offers five kinds of Blueberries.
Planting was done to optimize effective pollination and
provide a long harvesting season. The farm also has a
large planting of blackberries. One field is dedicated to
thorn less berries. Another features Kiowa, a new variety,
hailed for yielding the worlds largest blackberries.

Our East Texas sandy loam has proved excellent for
berries. Water for irrigation is pumped from an aquifer that
authorities claim is the very best for berries. These
factors contribute to the above average size and
outstanding taste of our berries for the last twenty years.

Blackberries are usually ready to harvest on Memorial
Day. Blueberries start about the 6th of June.
